Vince Slusher is a persuasive advocate for companies facing financial or regulatory crises. Vince works diligently to understand clients’ unique needs within the context of their specific industries, and applies his 35 years of experience to guide large and mid-sized public and private companies through complex bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings.

He handles a broad array of restructuring matters, including bankruptcy and out-of-court reorganizations across the U.S. and abroad for all type of clients, including debtors, creditors (both secured and unsecured), trustees, examiners, and official and unofficial committees.

  • Comcast Corporation and NBC Universal in the involuntary Chapter 11 filing of Houston Regional Sports Network LLC, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas
  • Sears Methodist Retirement System and its affiliates, the largest nonprofit senior living provider in Texas, with 11 facilities in 8 cities, in its Chapter 11 filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, resulting in a consensual Chapter 11 plan. Representation involved resolution of two issuances of public debt and significant regulatory issues
  • Alco Stores, Inc., the discount general merchandise retailer, in its Chapter 11 filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas in Dallas
  • Reddy Ice, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of packaged ice in the United States, in its Chapter 11 proceedings and with its simultaneous efforts to acquire a leading North American ice producer headquartered in Canada
  • Erickson Retirement Communities, developer of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), and its affiliated debtors in its successful reorganization proceedings under Chapter 11
  • Pro-Health, the largest grower/processor of potatoes in the state of Texas, in its successful Chapter 11 case in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas
  • A nationally franchised restaurant in an out-of-court reorganization
  • Hanover Energy, Inc., the parent company of a large interstate national gas pipeline company, in a pre-packaged Chapter 11 reorganization that was accomplished in fewer than 50 days and involved several hundred million dollars in claims
  • Abengoa Bioenergy Biomass of Kansas, LLC, a second-generation ethanol plant, in its Chapter 11 filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas
  • Montco Offshore, Inc. (MOI), which constructs and operates liftboats, and its wholly owned subsidiary, Montco Oilfield Contractors (MOC), a general contractor, on an array of oil and gas offshore projects in the Gulf of Mexico and in the joint administration of their Chapter 11 cases, which included a plan of reorganization for MOI and a plan of liquidation for MOC
