Overview
Commercial Property Tax Appeals
Adam represents property taxpayers before the Minnesota Tax Court in appeals primarily based on over-valuation and tax exemption. He can handle any type of commercial property, including office buildings and multi-family developments.
Trust Litigation
Adam represents corporate trustees, individual trustees, corporate and charitable foundations, and beneficiaries on a wide range of issues. Adam’s experience includes:
- Bringing an action on behalf of beneficiaries to remove the trustee for breach of fiduciary duties
- Defending the validity of a will against attacks that it was the product of insane delusions
- Defending the beneficiary designation against attacks of mental incapacity
- Representing corporate trustees during review hearings
Business Litigation
On litigation and trial teams, Adam has represented clients on claims related to:
- Breach of contract
- Usurpation of a business opportunity
- Tortious interference with a contract
- Consumer product recalls
- Trade secrets
- Repurchase of home mortgage loans

- First-chaired a jury trial in the Eastern District of Michigan on behalf of a Michigan prisoner on his claims for violations of his civil rights
- First-chaired trial before the Minnesota Immigration Court on behalf of client seeking asylum because he was tortured by the Ethiopian government for his political beliefs, winning asylum
- Represent client who fled Syria because he was tortured by the government for his political beliefs at the interview with the asylum officer, winning asylum without having to go through a formal hearing
- Second-chaired hearing before the Minnesota Immigration Court on behalf of client to cancel her removal from the United States, with the Judge granting relief from the bench and the government waiving appeal at the conclusion of the hearing
- Represent Minnesota non-profit that had its property tax-exemption status revoked by the County
