Shana Morshedian, a registered patent attorney with eight years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, secures intellectual property protections for clients in the fields of biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals. With extensive lab research experience in companies including Eli Lilly and Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, and a background at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Shana combines the technical conversance, practical insight and legal understanding to effectively draft and prosecute complex patent applications.

Before joining the firm, Shana was a senior biologist in drug discovery with Eli Lilly and Company, where she worked with peptide phage libraries, affinity matured peptides for potency using phage and mRNA display, developed cell-based assays and designed protein variants. As a senior research associate with Applied Proteomics, she studied plasma samples for the purpose of biomarker discovery. Shana also worked as a cancer researcher for Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where she developed and optimized protein and cell-based assays for use in a multi-target High Throughput Screening campaign against 150,000 Natural Products extracts.
