Overview

Shana Morshedian, an experienced biologist and registered patent attorney, secures intellectual property protections for clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. With extensive lab research experience and a background at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Shana combines the technical conversance, practical insight and legal understanding to effectively draft and prosecute complex patent applications.

Shana’s patent law experience includes intellectual property licensing, freedom to operate analysis, prior art searches, patent application review and patent litigation.

Before joining the firm, Shana was a senior biologist in drug discovery with Eli Lilly and Company, where she worked with peptide phage libraries, developed cell based assays and designed protein variants. As a senior research associate with Applied Proteomics she studied plasma samples for biomarker activity. Shana also has experience as a cancer researcher, developing assays and preparing anti-apoptotic proteins for high-throughput screening.
