Past Experience
Michael previously worked with Faegre Baker Daniels (currently Faegre Drinker) as a summer associate. In this role, he assisted attorneys with issues related to products liability, real estate, corporations, construction and real estate advocacy and intellectual property. In his work with intellectual property, he wrote provisional and CIP patent applications, in-depth examination of prior art and letters to clients concerning patent search results. He also sat in on examiner interviews, prepared claims for foreign prosecution and conducted field research into secondary considerations, experimental use and subject matter eligibility.
Before his time with the firm, Michael held internships with Eli Lilly and Profusa Corporation. While he was in law school, Michael worked as a research assistant with Indiana University’s Center for Intellectual Property Law and Innovation, researching issues in patent licensing and lending financing with cryptocurrency.
