Overview

Clint Maynard counsels clients on corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and private equity and venture capital transactions. As a corporate lawyer, he brings practical knowledge of business operations and project management gained through his experience working in industry as a project engineer.
Clint started with Faegre Baker Daniels (currently Faegre Drinker) as a summer associate in 2018, where he gained experience in corporate, finance and restructuring, and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining the firm, he also spent time learning in-depth about IP protection and enforcement strategies as a summer associate with an IP firm in Minneapolis.

Engineering Background

Prior to becoming an attorney, Clint spent over four years as a mechanical engineer for a large EPC contractor, where he worked on complex industrial construction projects. He gained experience working in a fast-paced environment, designing plant systems, advising on technical matters, and coordinating efforts between a large network, including the project owner, owner’s engineer, general contractor, procurement group, architectural engineer, startup engineer, vendors, subcontractors and multiple internal engineering departments. In this capacity, Clint aided the completion of several new-build industrial plants ranging from hundreds of millions to over one billion dollars in construction costs.

Clint’s experience as a project engineer required him to produce high quality deliverables for clients in a critical path project management framework. Clint uses this experience to guide clients on legal matters who demand high-quality services with a keen ability to manage a schedule and budget.

Personal Interests

Clint enjoys testing his limits in nature, most often with a pair of downhill skis beneath his feet.
