Overview
Kaitlin MacKenzie focuses her practice in the area of corporate restructuring and bankruptcy. Kaitlin represents debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, purchasers of distressed assets, lenders, distressed investors, and other interested parties in a wide range of restructuring and insolvency matters. She advises and represents clients in all aspects of chapter 11 proceedings, including section 363 asset sales, DIP financings, plans of reorganization, resolution of claims, post-confirmation trusts, and bankruptcy litigation and appeals. Kaitlin also advises clients in out-of-court workouts, corporate wind-downs, and other transactional matters where one or more parties is or may become financially distressed.
Kaitlin served as law clerk to the Honorable Brendan Linehan Shannon, the Honorable Kevin Gross and the Honorable Peter J. Walsh at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Wilmington, and as a judicial intern and extern to the Honorable Kevin J. Carey.
Prior to joining the firm, Kaitlin worked as an associate in the restructuring department of an international law firm.
