As a summer associate in Faegre Baker Daniels’s (currently Faegre Drinker) Denver office, Javier worked on a variety of matters, drafting documents, conducting research and providing strategic input. Before his time with the firm, he served as law clerk on the United States Senate Judiciary Committee.
As a law student, Javier worked at the East Bay Community Law Center, where he represented low income tenants facing legal issues such as eviction, harassment and Section 8 eligibility. He also served as class representative at Berkeley Law.
Before law school, Javier worked in politics in Colorado and Oklahoma. He has served as an organizer on a presidential campaign and as a staffer on campaigns involving educational funding, immigration rights, voter registration and voter turnout.
Javier is passionate about immigration, housing and civil rights. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, reading, trying new restaurants and traveling.
