Eminent Domain/Condemnation Appellate Proceedings
David has had considerable success in cases argued in Minnesota's appellate courts, including three cases before the Minnesota Supreme Court.
He is a recognized authority on eminent domain law. He was selected to revise several chapters of Nichols on Eminent Domain, the definitive treatise on eminent domain law used by lawyers nationwide since its original publication in 1909.
Property Tax Appeals
In recent years David has represented owners of school property, charitable organizations, medical institutions, manufacturing companies and owners of large downtown office buildings in property tax appeals.
Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, David spent eight years as an assistant attorney general in the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General, where he litigated hundreds of parcels of property through the eminent domain process on behalf of the largest condemning authority in Minnesota.
