Jennifer Hull partners with senior management teams to develop and implement strategies to improve employee relations, drive performance and limit their liability on employment-related issues. Jennifer's constant exposure — from childhood to present — to the issues confronting small to mid-sized employers (her family and her husband's family are business owners), gives her a businesslike perspective on addressing workplace concerns. This perspective, coupled with her significant experience in both traditional labor matters and employment litigation, arms her with the unique ability to advise clients in a well-rounded, pragmatic manner.
Jennifer advises and represents employers on issues related to:
  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Title VII
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA)
  • Workers' Compensation Retaliation
  • Enforcement and defense of non-competition agreements

Supervisor Training

Jennifer’s passion is supervisor training – from HR personnel to front-line supervisors. Her sessions are informative, interactive and engaging. She has developed a series of sessions focused on practical, day-to-day things all supervisors must know to be effective (i.e., conducting internal investigations and performance evaluations). Jennifer works with employers to make sure these sessions are tailored to their specific needs. She also provides positive relations training to assist clients with their efforts to remain union-free.

NLRB Field Attorney and Traditional Labor Experience

Jennifer was an NLRB Field Attorney in Detroit before entering private practice. Since that time, she has successfully waged corporate campaigns against union organization attempts (one election resulting in zero votes for the union!). Jennifer also has defended numerous unfair labor practice charges (ULPs), including those involving social media issues against non-union companies. She has served as lead negotiator for collective bargaining negotiations, but also helps companies behind the scenes with negotiations. Additionally, Jennifer has a track record of success in defending grievances through arbitration.
