Overview
Kevin Green offers clients guidance throughout the litigation and contract acquisition process across the commercial and residential real estate industry. He assists in contract formation, negotiation, research and analysis, and he supports pre-trial, trial and appellate proceedings.
Prior Experience
Before joining Faegre Drinker, Kevin served for sixteen years in a variety of positions at the squadron, group and wing level of the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard. After graduating from basic military training as an honor graduate, Kevin started his munitions system career at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. While obtaining his undergraduate and law degrees, Kevin continued his military service as an Air National Guardsman. In 2015, Kevin was selected by his wing commander to serve as the wing equal opportunity superintendent. In that capacity, Kevin and his team were responsible to the commander to assess and offer suggestions for improving morale, leading to a safe and compliant workplace for all. Kevin ended his military career in July of 2023.
During law school, Kevin served in a variety of student leadership positions, including as 2022-23 student government president and the Black Law Student Association’s vice-president during the same academic year. Kevin interned as a law clerk with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota. Kevin also served as associate editor on his law school’s Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Kevin gained experience interning with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, where he worked on the team dedicated to processing the backlog of expungement requests. Kevin was also a summer associate with Faegre Drinker in 2021 through the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice program as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) fellow, and later rejoined the firm for the summer 2022 program.
Kevin completed a judicial externship with Judge JaPaul Harris of the Second Judicial District of Minnesota.
Personal Interests
Outside the office, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family of seven playing board games on family night. Kevin is an avid reader of biographies, but also anything written by John Grisham or Brad Meltzer. Kevin currently sits on the board of 100 Black Men of the Twin Cities (the local chapter of the 100 Black Men of America) as its secretary and is an active member of the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers. Lastly, Kevin is pursuing his doctorate in Law and Public Policy from Liberty University with an expected graduation date in May 2026.
