Shannon L. Epstein

Senior Director of Practice Management

Overview

As Senior Director of Practice Management, Shannon Epstein is responsible for aligning Faegre Drinker’s legal business objectives with strategic operational initiatives for firm practice groups. She works closely with group leaders on resource allocation and planning, and the evaluation of profitable performance metrics to help ensure practice success. Shannon directs a national team that helps develop non-partner lawyer talent, organizes and executes activities that drive client relationships, and manages operations budgets that aid in the efficient and effective delivery of legal services.

Previously, Shannon served as the senior director of service operations at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, where she led a team of more than 100 administrative and para-professionals, and managed the firm’s U.S. regional office administrative functions, national paralegal program and the document solutions center.

Prior to joining the firm, Shannon was the manager of legal administration and paralegals at McKinsey and Company, reporting directly to the General Counsel. She managed all of the business functions in the company’s legal department including a team of more than 50 lawyers and staff. Additionally, Shannon directed the annual budget planning process, which included oversight and accountability for all outside counsel legal expenses.
