Mike Doty represents clients on finance and restructuring matters, focusing on corporate trust matters, bankruptcies and related litigation. In bankruptcy matters, he has represented clients including trustees, secured creditors, trade creditors and franchisors.
Mike represents trustees of troubled asset-backed securities in connection with:
  • Trust defaults
  • Foreclosures
  • Liquidations
  • Servicer disputes
  • Credit insurance issues
  • Suits against the trustees

Mike’s experience includes terminating and settling derivative contracts.

Past Experience

Before joining the firm, Mike worked as a distressed legal analyst with Whitebox Advisors LLC in Minneapolis.
