Andrew Dettmer discovered his passion for advocacy in high school speech and debate; he now utilizes those skills in partnering with corporations and other clients to resolve disputes in a manner that aligns with their broader business strategy and goals while managing the increasing demands of technology and the global economy. Andrew also assists clients with resolving federal and state investigatory and regulatory matters, as well as internal investigations.

Previous Experience

While in law school, Andrew served as an appellate clerk in the U.S. attorney’s office in Indianapolis, where he supported prosecutors by researching case law, reviewing petitions, and drafting and filing responses to the federal district and appellate courts. He also worked as a summer law clerk for the office of the Indiana attorney general in the Solicitor General’s Office.

Personal Interests

Andrew enjoys playing semi-competitive softball, ultimate frisbee and kickball. On the weekends, Andrew is often cheering on his favorite sports teams, Manchester City FC, Indy Eleven, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Pacers. He also has an abiding interest in history, particularly U.S. presidential history and Scottish history.
