Jodie Curtis crafts and executes the strategies clients need to move the needle in Washington, D.C. A former senior staffer on Capitol Hill and manager of a national association’s federal government relations program, Jodie has firsthand experience on both sides of the government advocacy table. She knows that relationships built on mutual trust are vital to advancing regulatory, legislative and public policy goals, and she helps clients build the recognition and credibility required to develop and sustain lasting, productive connections with legislators and federal regulators.

Named one of The Hill’s Top Lobbyists of 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, Jodie is highly skilled in strategic planning and crafting smart tactics that help clients meet their public policy goals while fostering relationships with Members of Congress and staff. She is adept at working the federal appropriations and authorization processes, building coalitions, developing public policies and setting organization priorities.

Federal Government Advocacy

Jodie creates government relations strategies rooted in an in-depth understanding of federal government processes and priorities. She is adept at working the federal appropriations and authorization processes to advance client policy and funding goals, and she helps clients build coalitions to amplify their message. She has planned and executed Capitol Hill advocacy days for hundreds of participants and has organized successful, innovative grassroots campaigns. Jodie also works behind the scenes to align client public policy goals with organization priorities and trains clients how to be effective advocates at the local, state and federal levels.

Jodie works with clients across industries and policy areas, including health and life sciences, digital health, global health, agriculture, manufacturing, trade, transportation, insurance and environmental matters.

In-House Government Relations Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Jodie was an assistant director with Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where she oversaw and managed the organization’s federal government relations program.

Government Experience

Jodie served as deputy chief of staff for U.S. Representative Thomas M. Barrett (D-WI), as executive assistant for U.S. Representatives Lynn Rivers (D-MI) and Peter Barca (D-WI), and as district director/legislative assistant for Wisconsin State Senator Barbara Ulichny.

Personal Interests

Jodie has a keen interest in all things Wisconsin and is an avid fan of Wisconsin and Chicago sports teams. She plays tennis and travels the globe to enjoy new cultures, good food and an occasional Grand Slam tournament.
