Christopher knows the ins and outs of electronic discovery methods, requests and responses. His work includes record retention, disaster recovery, HIPAA, data security and employment issues. Since a proactive approach can often make a difference in the course of electronic discovery and litigation, Christopher uses early case assessment to review data sources and locations, the viability of data collection and best approaches for review and preservation. A keen knowledge of digital forensics and industry-leading tools allow him to assess and remedy clients’ compliance needs.
Prior to joining the firm, he was most recently technology counsel for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Using his experience with e-discovery, information governance, digital investigations, data privacy, forensic investigation, records management and litigation management, Christopher provided NLRB-wide training and legal, technical and management knowledge in connection with hundreds of NLRB investigations and cases.
When clients need strategies to protect key data and comply with the law, Christopher draws on the legal and digital investigations skills developed at the NLRB, where he founded and was the head of the Working Group for Digital Investigations. This role gave him insight into best practices for analyzing and managing digital information generated by mobile devices, social media and other digital devices.
Christopher previously served as part of the Sedona Conference Working Group 6 Brainstorming Group on Ephemeral Data (2018-19).
