Michael Crosson is a litigator on the firm’s financial services, white collar, and health and life sciences teams. Michael represents a diverse range of clients at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations across the country. His practice includes internal investigations, civil and criminal investigations by federal and state enforcement agencies, various commercial disputes, and financial services litigation, including arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Michael is a regular contributor to the firm's Enforcement Highlights blog, which covers noteworthy enforcement and regulatory activity of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other agencies.

He maintains an active pro bono practice, including class actions advocating for the rights and safety of individuals in civil immigration detention, and on behalf of students with disabilities.

In law school, Michael co-directed Penn Law’s Pardons Project, a partnership with Community Legal Services to provide pro bono assistance to individuals applying for pardons. Michael oversaw the volunteers from the law school, and regularly interacted with attorneys at CLS to ensure that clients had the best chance they could of receiving a pardon.

Before joining the firm, Michael interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where he researched and wrote detailed responses to legal questions for active civil and criminal investigations and litigation.

Personal Interests

Michael enjoys playing the piano, sharing great music with his two young children, watching all sports with a strong Philadelphia bias and cooking Sunday dinner.
