Most recently, Gus served as a certified student attorney with Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners, where he litigated civil rights claims on behalf of incarcerated clients. During law school, Gus also externed with U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson, served as a certified student attorney with the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office and clerked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota. Additionally, Gus was an assistant editor with the Mitchell Hamline Law Review and policy editor of the Law Journal of Public Policy & Practice.
Gus also previously worked with Faegre Baker Daniels as a summer associate, where he aided in matters regarding business litigation, labor and employment, and construction and real estate.
In his free time, Gus enjoys playing basketball and softball, the outdoors and defending his reputation as the best cribbage player west of the Mississippi River.
