Heather Campbell Burgess

Overview

Heather Burgess advises and defends clients during product liability and franchise litigation. She has experience representing medical device manufacturers in high-stakes product liability disputes. Heather also litigates non-competition and other contractual disputes against franchisees. With court room experience, Heather is a key member of trial and legal teams during product liability and franchise litigation. She has written and argued motions in both state and federal court and conducted depositions.

Past Experience

While in law school, Heather served as a summer associate with Faegre Drinker, where she researched and wrote detailed memoranda. She also worked as a legal extern under Judge R. Brooke Jackson in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and as a judicial intern for Chief Justice Rice in the Colorado Supreme Court. Heather also served as a research assistant to Justin Marceau and Arthur Best, professors of law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Personal Interests

Heather likes to travel  ideally to places where she can downhill ski and/or eat delicious food  and enjoys playing board games. She lived in Spain after undergraduate school and enjoys cooking Spanish dishes when she has some free time.
