Wilson M. Brown, III

Senior Counsel

Overview

With a track record as one of the nation’s premier trial attorneys, Wilson M. Brown III helps businesses clear the hurdles mounted by commercial, intellectual property, insurance and technology disputes. He also fields individual and class actions arising from antitrust, securities and consumer fraud claims. Wilson combines incisive discovery skills with anticipatory defense to lap opposing counsel and keep companies pacing toward their goals.

Commercial Disputes

Dispute resolution is Wilson’s top goal. He focuses on complex commercial cases and has secured favorable results for clients in everything from bet-the-business-line litigation to breach of contract actions. Wilson prides himself on supporting clients at every turn, from pre-claim negotiations to trial, as well as in arbitrations, both in and out of court. Wilson also counsels companies on shoring up internal practices and operations to prevent future litigation.

Intellectual Property and Technology Litigation

Wilson has served as lead litigation counsel in high-stakes patent and trademark suits, amplifying the concerns of innovators facing claims of patent and copyright infringement. He has supported an array of industries on this front, including software, electronics, entertainment, retail and pharmaceutical companies.

Insurance Litigation

Wilson has served as lead counsel at the trial and appellate levels in insurance cases throughout the country. Insurers count on Wilson to guide them through business practice, bad faith and extra-contractual liability claims and achieve sensible resolutions. His shrewd planning and careful advocacy has been tapped for cases of national significance involving environmental and toxic tort exposures, among other cutting-edge issues.
