Carita Austin advocates for and advises employers in traditional labor matters and employment litigation, including administrative agency defense in front of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

With a focus on arbitrations, contract negotiations, union representation campaigns, defense of unfair labor practice charges, supervisor trainings, and consultation of employee handbooks and social media policies, Carita has a national practice serving clients in both the private and public sector. Carita works with diverse industry groups, including automotive supply, manufacturing, food/agribusiness, construction, and educational institutions.

Using several years of experience as a NLRB field attorney, Carita collaborates with employers to help them comply with complex state and federal employment and labor laws, including swiftly navigating the NLRB’s quick timelines compared to other agencies and court proceedings.

In addition to her deep experience in labor management relations, Carita’s signature is her excellent client service. She develops meaningful client relationships and learns her clients’ business, inside and out. A native Spanish speaker, Carita effectively communicates across languages and cultures and enjoys working with clients from all walks of life.
