Overview
Litigation
Greg has deep experience defending against class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII and Section 1981, including defeating class certification and prevailing on the merits. He also defends employers against claims raised under state and federal equal employment opportunity and wage and hour statutes, and manages cases involving noncompetition agreements, trade secret violations, and other similar claims. Greg also is leading the defense of multiple companies against class action claims under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).
Counseling
Greg counsels clients on matters involving criminal background checks, covenants not to compete, wage and hour laws, drug and alcohol testing, and employee discipline and termination. He works with organizations to create separation agreements and releases, employee handbooks, and other employment policies.
Writing and Speaking Engagements
Greg regularly presents at CLEs and other similar events on a variety of employment and related topics; has written and been published extensively on employment and privacy-related issues; and has been quoted and interviewed by multiple national media on these topics.
