Ideas are Property

To maintain a competitive edge in the food and beverage industry, it is critical that companies  protect their intellectual property (IP). In an article authored for Food & Drink magazine, Faegre Baker Daniels associate Jamie Drewry detailed several different types of effective IP protections companies should consider, including trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and patents-—she used The Coca-Cola Co. as an example of a business that successfully takes advantage of each of these protections.

Drewry further explained how effective IP protection can set a company apart from the competition stating that, "As business competition continues to grow, developing a creative and well-rounded IP portfolio is crucial to maintaining a competitive edge."
