In 2007, flooding of the Blanchard River in Northwest Ohio caused approximately $70 million worth of damage to homes and businesses in the communities of Ottawa and Findlay, Ohio. FaegreBD Consulting has been hired to assist regional officials in Ohio to secure $1.7 million that is needed to complete a flood study which will be executed by the Army Corps of Engineers. In an interview with Findlay's newspaper, The Courier, David Gogol discussed the difficulties of securing funding due to the federal budget crisis and East Coast cleanup from Hurricane Sandy.
