Partner Mike Zogby — deputy leader of Faegre Drinker’s Product Liability and Mass Torts group and co-chair of the Health & Life Sciences Litigation Segment — spoke on January 15, 2021, at Fordham University School of Law in New York City on “Cybersecurity and Ethics.” Mike presented the virtual CLE program with Ellen Lafferty, adjunct professor at Fordham Law, head of Anti-Bribery & Corruption at Deutsch Bank and former U.S. head of Anti-Bribery & Corruption at HSBC the Americas.

They discussed the impact of cybersecurity on the legal industry; best practices and compliance issues; protecting client data and how to respond to cyber-incidents; private and governmental resources and guidelines; federal and state court decisions; law firm data incident examples; and ethical guidelines and rules on attorneys’ responsibilities of competence, communication, confidentiality, and supervision of other attorneys and nonlawyers including vendors.
