Conserving Public Resources: How Energy Performance Contracting and Other Efficiency and Conservation Programs Can Help Combat Energy Change

American Bar Association’s PCLS Procurement Symposium


Faegre Drinker Associate Lauren Olmsted is sharing insight on the effect of climate change and energy use on government contracting operations at an upcoming American Bar Association symposium. Lauren, along with Siemens Government Technologies, Inc.’s Peter Chorynak and Director of the Texas State Energy Conservation Office Eddy Trevino will explore local, state and federal government programs and contracting approaches for energy management and conservation efforts at all levels of government. The panel discussion will address federal procurement & contracting approaches for energy management, efficiency and energy resilience. Panelists will also address typical contracting and compliance issues (including certifications, contract flowdowns and other impacts) arising in United States procurements and funding programs.
