Bob Stoll Speaks at a Series of Meetings and Speeches in Japan

Overview

During the week of June 17, DC partner and cochair of the IP group, Bob Stoll, traveled to Japan for a series of meetings and speeches. On Monday, June 17, Bob traveled to Osaka Japan from Tokyo to deliver a speech to over 200 participants at the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA) in Osaka on patent subject matter eligibility and recent IP cases. On Tuesday, June 18, Bob met with the Board of Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA) at their headquarters in Tokyo. That evening, he participated in a reception for the Intellectual Property Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property of Japan (AIPPI Japan). On Wednesday, June 19, Bob met with JPO Commissioner Munakata in her offices and later delivered a speech to 250 participants from the JPAA in Tokyo on patent subject matter eligibility and recent IP case decisions. On Thursday, June 20, Bob delivered a speech on patent subject matter eligibility and recent IP cases to 150 participants from the AIPPI, Japan. While in Japan, Bob also met with many clients and potential clients of the firm.
