Faegre Drinker Shortlisted for 2026 British Legal Awards in ‘Outstanding Social Impact’ Category

Faegre Drinker was named to the shortlist in the “Outstanding Social Impact” category of the 2026 British Legal Awards hosted by Law.com International.

The award examines how firms are “moving the dial within the organization and best supporting clients and/or the firm with their social impact projects,” such as pro bono, community impact, civil rights, and charity initiatives. Faegre Drinker's London office has developed a coordinated social-impact initiative focused on widening access to the legal profession.

In 2026, the London office hosted Year 12 students for an immersive, week-long legal experience program that exposed students to a wide range of legal practices. Students also participated in a “My Journey to Law” panel, mock debate, client pitch exercise, interview skills workshop and visits to the Royal Courts of Justice and Inns of Court.

Additionally, the firm worked with Through the Looking Glass, an organization that helps students from under-resourced London communities gain exposure to professional careers and pathways into industries including law. Similarly, Faegre Drinker partnered with All Rise, an organization that delivers legal workshops in primary schools. In 2026, the firm funded and participated in four sessions for Year 5 and 6 pupils at schools in social mobility “cold spots,” reaching more than 150 students. The workshops introduced pupils to the justice system, rights and responsibilities through a mock criminal case and trial.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony on Nov. 25, at City Central at the HAC.
