Faegre Drinker announced today that Brent Mosby has rejoined the firm as counsel in the corporate practice group in the Indianapolis office. Mosby returns to the firm from software company Jobvite where he was General Counsel and was formerly with Faegre Baker Daniels from 2015-2017.
Over the past two decades, Mosby has gained significant experience as the lead in-house lawyer for three enterprise software companies, a large public pension fund and one of the nation’s largest private homebuilders. He leverages this in-house experience and his time in private practice to provide clients with pragmatic counsel on a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities and governance matters, commercial transactions and general corporate counseling.
“As M&A activity remains robust we are thrilled to be welcoming Brent to the corporate team at this time,” said co-leaders of the firm’s corporate practice Jim Fischer and Keith Radtke. “With his diverse deal experience and in-house background, Brent is perfectly suited to provide clients with practical and efficient counsel.”
Mosby has played a leading role in many M&A transactions, ranging from small deals to multibillion-dollar transactions between public companies. He has led tuck-in acquisitions, corporate carve-outs and cross-border transactions. He has negotiated several transition services agreements in connection with M&A deals, and he has practical experience leading post-closing integration activities.
In addition to his deal work, Mosby has experience preparing and filing SEC reports, advising companies on disclosure requirements, and guiding executive teams and boards of directors through strategic and corporate governance challenges. Of note, he has served as lead in-house attorney on an initial public offering (IPO), a follow-on offering and several private placements.
Mosby earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
With 225 corporate, securities, tax and finance attorneys, Faegre Drinker’s corporate practice is one of the largest in the nation, serving as legal adviser to clients on their most strategic transactions and business decisions. Attorneys in the group have been primary securities compliance and corporate governance counsel for more than 50 public companies and are leaders in middle-market M&A, collectively working over the past three years on more than 750 transactions, with a cumulative deal value of more than $100 billion.
