He is also particularly experienced in multidistrict litigations (MDLs), consolidated state actions and individual lawsuits involving complex medical issues.
“Adam is a strong addition to our national products liability and mass torts practice,” said Andrew C. Kassner, Drinker Biddle’s chairman and CEO. “His significant industry experience will be an asset to our pharmaceutical, medical device and health care clients, and we are excited to welcome him in Hartford.”
Masin has regularly handled complex medical-related litigation for Connecticut’s largest health care system, and his experience includes litigation involving drugs, devices, nutritional supplements, probiotics, neonatology, cardiology, oncology, urogynecology, orthopedics, mycology, hematology, neuropsychology, internal medicine, primary care and a range of other medical specialties. He also serves on the board of directors of the NEC Society, the leading 501(c)(3) dedicated to the neonatal disease necrotizing enterocolitis.
Daniel B. Carroll and Michael C. Zogby, co-chairs of the firm’s products liability and mass torts practice, said in a joint statement, “Adam has distinguished himself with his dedication to client service and success in helping clients navigate complex product liability and health care litigation throughout the United States. He is a great fit for our team, and his robust experience adds to the firm’s growing product liability trial capabilities.”
Masin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law.
