Bob Stoll Gives Patent Wishes for 2019 in IPWatchdog

Washington, D.C., partner and co-chair of the Intellectual Property Group Bob Stoll was quoted in the IPWatchdog article “Industry Insiders Make Patent Wishes for 2019.”

Bob’s first wish is to unite the patent community to find a workable solution to the patent subject matter eligibility crisis. He added that the standards set forth in Alice v. CLS Bank are being misapplied, and consequently creating declines in job creation and economic growth. Bob opines that with an honest broker and the cooperation of open-minded participants from all viewpoints, the patent community could solve this issue.

Bob’s second wish is that the community reach meaningful harmonization of our national and regional patent systems. He said that the funds from the duplicative efforts that now occur around the globe could be reinvested in research to improve the quality of life everywhere.
