ERISA Litigator Gregory J. Ossi Joins Drinker Biddle in Washington, D.C.

National law firm Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP is expanding its employee benefits capabilities with the addition of Gregory J. Ossi to its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group. He will be based in the Washington, D.C., office.

Mr. Ossi litigates labor and ERISA cases before federal courts and has handled numerous arbitrations in both labor and employee benefits matters. He has experience representing clients in a variety of industries in evaluating and disputing withdrawal liability issues, multiemployer pension and health plan issues.

Mr. Ossi counsels employers on union organizing, unfair labor practice charges, and labor issues related to mergers, acquisitions and bankruptcy. He has extensive experience with collective bargaining agreements, including the bargaining for and drafting of retirement and health care plans. He has represented companies as special labor counsel and as special benefits counsel in addressing collectively bargained obligations, multiemployer pension liability and retiree health benefits in bankruptcy.

Mr. Ossi earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. He also holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University.

In addition to Mr. Ossi, Drinker Biddle recently welcomed Jason S. Luter to its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group. Mr. Luter has significant experience in ERISA, tax controversy and employment litigation matters, and bolsters the firm’s transactional services and capabilities in the firm’s Dallas office.
