Beth Diffley Quoted in Law360 on SEC's Revisions to Disclosure Requirements

Partner Beth Diffley was quoted in a Law360 article titled “SEC Becoming More User-Friendly With Disclosure Trims.” The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is simplifying its disclosure requirements through several new measures. The article outlined the changes, which include eliminating many requirements that overlapped with other disclosures already required by the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards.

Beth described the SEC’s simplifications to the disclosure requirements as small but of the type that could add up to a more meaningful impact over time.

“This is the easy stuff to do and hopefully it’s the beginning of more substantive things,” she said.
