Carita Austin has joined the labor and employment group of Faegre Baker Daniels in the law firm’s Indianapolis office.
Austin advises clients on best practices in federal employment law, particularly those related to labor unions and organizing rights.
Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Austin spent six years as a field attorney for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). She investigated charges against employers and unions, prosecuted ULP charges, handled representation petitions and elections, and assisted with FOIA and immigration matters pertaining to the NLRB.
Austin received her J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she was the lead managing editor for the Federal Communications Law Journal. She received her B.A. in political science from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.
