Tom Dawson and Joe Seiler Article Published in Insider Quarterly

New York partners Tom Dawson and Joe Seiler wrote an article for Insider Quarterly titled, “Overcoming compliance.” The article discusses why more insurance companies should consider creating board-level committees to oversee their compliance efforts.

The article covers topics on effective compliance, regulatory enforcement and standalone compliance.

“Board members today work harder than ever, and audit committee members typically are among the hardest-working directors,” they say. “Their jobs could be eased and the effectiveness of compliance and audit functions could be improved by separating compliance oversight from audit oversight.”
