Dennis Ryan Named Fellow by American College of Bankruptcy

Dennis M. Ryan of Faegre Baker Daniels LLP has been inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy.

The mission of the College is to honor and recognize distinguished bankruptcy professionals who are qualified for membership in an effort to set standards of achievement for others in the insolvency community and to fund and assist projects that enhance the highest quality of bankruptcy practice, including undergraduate and graduate programs related to bankruptcy and insolvency.

Ryan, who was among a class of 36 inductees, is a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels where he practices in bankruptcy, business reorganization and commercial finance. Ryan also has been involved in pro bono work, including the bankruptcy adversary proceeding pro bono defense project for the U.S. District Court for Minnesota as well as the debtor-creditor case screening panel and case clinic for the Volunteer Lawyers Network.

Ryan is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, former bankruptcy section chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association and served as a member of the local rules committee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota. He joined Faegre Baker Daniels in 1985 after graduating from the University of Iowa College of Law and clerking for Chief Judge Donald P. Lay on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

The American College of Bankruptcy is an honorary association of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals. Its Fellows include commercial bankruptcy attorneys, consumer bankruptcy lawyers, corporate turnaround specialists, United States trustees, bankruptcy trustees, investment bankers, insolvency accountants, law professors, judges, government officials, appraisers and others involved in the bankruptcy and insolvency community.
