Franchisor Wins Summary Judgment and Attorneys’ Fees and Costs Against Franchisee who Abandoned Business

A convenience store franchisor filed claims with the American Arbitration Association against a franchisee who abandoned its franchised business years before the franchise agreement’s term expired. Our firm represented the franchisor in this filing.

Without an evidentiary hearing, the arbitrator granted the franchisor summary judgment awarding it liquidated damages and attorneys costs and fees.
