A Fortune 500, U.S.-based food manufacturer negotiated a favorable settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with representation from our firm. The EPA had handed down a six-figure enforcement alleging the company’s failure to timely report a release to air under CERCLA and EPCRA at one of their facilities in Ohio.
The settlement eliminated several allegations and included a significantly reduced penalty. Our firm also advises the manufacturer on best practices to assist in future incident response.
