Gary Sanitary District Restructuring Results in Cost Savings

United States - Indiana

Our firm helped restructure the Gary Sanitary District, which oversees storm water and sewer water collection and treatment, as well as all residential waste collection for the City of Gary. In the first 12 months of operations, we helped to reduce administrative redundancy by 15%, collect more than $2 million of outstanding fees, reduce the cost of trash collection to residents by 14% per year and initiate a Clean Technology Integrated Waste Plan on behalf of the Mayor. Our firm has also directly worked on the valuation and development of a potential public private partnership concession deal.
