Plaintiff Dismisses TILA Claims Against Credit Union

A plaintiff voluntarily dismissed all Truth in Lending Act (TILA) claims against a credit union. Our firm represented the credit union in the dispute and prompted the plaintiff’s voluntarily dismissal by presenting the opposing counsel with a letter that detailed why the claims were not cognizable. The plaintiff’s claims had alleged that the credit union violated the TILA by failing to provide the plaintiff with necessary disclosures, improperly calculating the loan’s interest rate, overcharging the plaintiff and providing multiple, confusing loan documents.
