Expanding Treatment for the Opioid Epidemic

Megan Herber worked to advance policy to expand access to treatment for the opioid epidemic, including via telemedicine, preventing abuse of cough medicine by teenagers, reauthorizing nursing workforce programs, expanding access to behavioral health treatment in the community, promoting the use of electronic health records by behavioral health providers, encouraging interoperability of electronic health records, enhancing the Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) leadership in health care cybersecurity, protecting the 340B Drug Discount Program for vulnerable communities, and more.
