Manufacturer Defends Retaliatory Discharge Claim

United States - Illinois

A national paint and wall covering manufacturer defended a retaliatory discharge claim brought by a former employee. Our firm acted as trial counsel on the manufacturer's behalf, in a case tried over 4 days in March 2001.

At the close of the plaintiff's case, the court granted the manufacturer's motion for direct verdict on the claim for punitive damages. The jury then reached a verdict in favor of the manufacturer on all remaining claims. Dziki v. Duron, Inc., Case No. 98 L 9141 (Circuit Court of Cook County 2001)
