Overview

Chuck Webber is a commercial trial and appellate lawyer with particular expertise in medical-device and financial-services litigation. He has represented clients by trying and winning complex commercial cases involving a wide variety of areas, including medical devices, financial transactions, commercial contracts, and business torts. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers, and a Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is also the only lawyer in Minnesota listed in Chambers USA as a Band 1 lawyer in both general commercial litigation and appellate litigation.

Trial Experience

Chuck has been trying cases to judges, juries, and arbitrators for 25 years. Winning trials in commercial cases depends on simplifying complex subject matter and telling the client’s story in an understandable and persuasive way. Chuck enjoys translating the complex into plain English. And that has enabled him to win trial victories in a wide variety of commercial areas, most recently in successfully defending an eight-figure claim against the University of Minnesota and successfully defending a medical-device client in the first two bellwether trials in a federal multi-district litigation (MDL).

Appellate Advocacy

Chuck is one of Minnesota’s leading appellate specialists. He is one of only four lawyers to be rated a Band 1 appellate practitioner in Minnesota. He has been involved in nearly 100 appeals in state and federal appellate courts across the country and is known for his vibrant and straightforward writing and argument.
