In the mid-90s, while on a four-year leave from the firm, Brian lived in Korea while serving as patent counsel for Samsung Display Devices (now Samsung SDI) and Samsung Aerospace Industries (now merged into Samsung Electronics). In this capacity, he was responsible for intellectual property matters, including litigation, licensing, patent prosecution and collaborative technology relationships. As the sole in-house IP attorney for the two companies at a critical juncture in their histories, Brian traveled around the world developing key relationships in the Korean business community — relationships that continue to this day.
Personal Interests
Brian and his wife live in Naperville, IL. He enjoys golfing, traveling, digital photography and building computers.
