Overview
E-Discovery and Data
In support of litigation, Lori advises clients on collections of custodial data, search strategies for electronically stored information (ESI), protective orders, ESI and document-review protocols, and production of data sets culled from structured databases. She counsels clients on the implementation of defensible and repeatable processes for case-specific discovery, often under a “defendant fact sheet” protocol. Lori manages teams of vendors, attorneys and paralegals in large-scale document collections, reviews and productions and develops and implements strategies for coordinating written discovery responses in pharmaceutical litigation to achieve consistency across similar cases in different jurisdictions.
Clinical Studies
Lori works with scientific experts to communicate the client story about clinical studies within the context of litigation. With a thorough understanding of how clinical studies are conducted, she focuses on the design, intent, results and outcomes of studies, as well as on their context within a larger body of research. These methods help Lori establish a clear and accurate picture of the study as it relates to a particular case, in support of the client’s defense.
Knowledge Sharing
As an authority on e-discovery issues, Lori is a frequent contributor to the firm’s product liability blog and trains fellow attorneys on e-discovery topics. She has participated as faculty in the firm’s first-year associate training every year since its inception, and for the last several years she has run the mock trial program for Bring Your Child to Work Day for the firm’s Philadelphia office.
