Abby E. Raanan

Alumni Engagement Manager

Overview

Abby Raanan’s career has been leading up to this moment. As a former corporate attorney and assistant general counsel-turned-alumni relations manager, Abby is well attuned to the personal and occupational pressures facing legal professionals. She is also keenly aware of the opportunities law firms have to act as changemakers in that regard. For Abby, effecting change looks like intentionally fostering a sense of community and expanding well-being and business development initiatives in a way that honors the full humanity of personnel. She takes a trifurcated approach to this work, planning ways to enhance how Faegre Drinker attorneys relate to each other, the firm and alumni, respectively.

On any given day, you can find Abby co-advising current and former attorneys on networking and business development best practices. She also coordinates with the events team on periodic alumni programming, including alumni reunions and educational panels, all with an eye toward relationship-building. In addition, Abby supports alumni communications, using these touchpoints to identify strategic gaps, improve programming and provide tangible benefits to current and former colleagues.
