Overview
Ashley also has deep experience prosecuting international patent portfolios for major clients in diverse industries, and he oversees due diligence projects during companies’ acquisition procedures. The patent applications he handles are in different polymer fields, organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), agricultural formulations, dye formulations, polyolefin films, catalysts, pharmaceutical applications, medical devices, photoresists, magnetic materials and oil recovery methods.
Prior to attending law school, Ashley banked a wealth of experience working as a procurement quality chemical engineer in the aircraft and naval industries. He also worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as a patent examiner in Group 156 in the inorganic, organic and polymer fields.
Personal Interests
Ashley and his wife, Jodie, established the Jewish Fund for the Future to support their synagogue and community and to ensure a place where their grandchildren and all Jewish people “can feel safe practicing our traditions, where they will have a synagogue home and a place to study Torah.” The couple enjoys spending time with their children and grandchildren. Ashley is an avid bicyclist and sports fan.
