Overview
Rachel partners with clients to resolve construction disputes. Rachel represents owners, contractors and construction industry professionals in litigation throughout the country, including representing a global equipment manufacturer in a multi-million dollar jury trial in Nebraska, which concluded in a favorable settlement. Rachel handles construction defect cases, payment disputes, lien claims and other complex construction matters. She has obtained dismissal of claims and lawsuits at the early stages of litigation, including the dismissal of multi-million dollar fraud claims in connection with the defense of a significant defect action.
Rachel also assists clients in drafting and negotiating construction and design agreements throughout the country. She has reviewed and revised numerous commercial contracting forms, including AIA Documents and non-standard construction templates.
Rachel also represents clients in real estate litigation, including condemnation matters.
Personal Interests
Passionate about athletics, Rachel plays and coaches softball and enjoys playing basketball and running. Before law school, Rachel played NCAA Div. III fast-pitch softball for the University of St. Thomas.
