Chris McGillen



Chris McGillen protects clients’ intellectual property assets, with a focus on patents, including patent prosecution and litigation. A former pilot and supervisor in the U.S. Air Force, Chris has organized, planned and managed significant military operations, including executing more than 50 special operations missions and coordinating between 62 U.S. agencies and their NATO counterparts. He leverages his experience managing large, critical and complex logistical challenges to deliver excellent, detail-oriented client service.

Prior Experience

During law school, Chris interned at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the office of Commissioner Michael O’Rielly, where he wrote legislative responses and reports on telecommunications policy and worked with congressional leaders and corporate executives to bring clarity to FCC policy and regulations.

He also served as a legal intern with a Minneapolis-based IP firm, where he wrote office action responses and pre-appeal briefs to the Patent and Trademark Office.
