Robert J. Mancuso



Robert Mancuso helps insurance companies, insurance producers and other insurance licensees maintain a firm grip on life insurance and annuity matters, as well as property and casualty insurance issues.

During law school, Bob served as a law clerk at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in the Insurance Department 

Insurance Representation

From a regulatory perspective, Bob represents and counsels clients on a variety of insurance matters in New York and across the country. He has assisted clients with various product developments and filings, regulatory compliance and enforcement, investigations, and licensing matters. Bob is also experienced in the areas of travel insurance and excess and surplus lines insurance, and he has assisted various insurtech companies and noninsurance entities in navigating insurance regulatory issues.

Bob also has extensive civil and appellate experience in state and federal courts nationwide. He has represented life insurers in disputes involving the secondary market for life insurance, insurance fraud and policy lapses, loans and cancellations.

Secondment Support

In 2013, Bob was seconded to a Lloyd’s insurance syndicate, where he assisted the claims team and underwriters by handling claims, drafting policy language and advising underwriters on various lines. While on secondment, Bob drafted a master policy for a group that planned to offer professional liability coverage to its members.
