Overview
Sara Lewenstein helps guide employers through each stage of employment-related litigation. Sara has experience with all types of employment-related litigation, but focuses on defending employers against:
- Claims of discrimination and retaliation arising under Title VII, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and various state anti-discrimination statutes
- Claims of retaliation under state and federal whistleblower statutes
- Claims of defamation, tortious interference and breach of contract
In addition, Sara leverages her prior experience clerking at the University of Minnesota Office of the General Counsel to counsel colleges, universities and other secondary education institutions on a wide range of matters, including Title IX litigation.
Personal Interests
Outside of the office, Sara is an avid CrossFitter. In the summer, Sara loves lacing up her running shoes and exploring the many parks and trails Minnesota has to offer. In the winter, Sara trades in her running shoes for hockey skates and hits the ice.One of Sara’s proudest accomplishments was being named "Rookie of the Year" of the firm’s 2019 championship-winning softball team.
